Does Shadow block MRU's from being written when active, or does it delete them once they are written? If it deletes them; is the file wiper standard used, or does it just zerofill? The deletion question also applies to the index.dat files. I've noticed that when shadow is active the index.dat file is in fact written to. By what method is the data removed once the session is over?

If these entries are not being shredded I have a strong suspicion that if I fired up EnCase or AccessData Forensic tools I could get them back. Thanks in advance for answering these questions from a Trial user.

Thank you for interest

MRU's have been deleted afterwords. In case of unexpected system shut down they will be deleted on first start up. A shredding algorithm is applied to those files and you can select the algo in program. The same applies to index.dat. Check out this message as well.
